Aviat Networks has taken a bold step in expanding its global innovation footprint by partnering with SpringUp Labs to establish a new R&D center in Chennai, India. This strategic collaboration is designed to scale Aviat’s capabilities across hardware, software, and networking domains—further strengthening its position as a global leader in wireless transport and access solutions.
The partnership leverages SpringUp Labs’ proven Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, which enables Aviat to rapidly build a high-performance engineering team, operate it with agility, and eventually integrate it fully into its global operations. Over the next three years, SpringUp will build and manage a dedicated Global Capability Center (GCC) before transitioning it to Aviat.
“This collaboration will play a crucial role in expanding our global footprint, enhancing innovation velocity, and supporting our long-term product roadmap,” said Michael Lehmann of Aviat Networks.
“We’re proud to help Aviat scale with speed and tap into India’s deep tech talent pool,” added Santosh Kotnis, CEO and Co-founder of SpringUp Labs
This move not only reflects the evolving nature of global R&D but also underscores Aviat’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge, scalable, and reliable connectivity solutions to customers worldwide.
